Exhibitor Spotlight - Maria's Antiques

Maria Cohen officially opened Maria's Antiques in Charlotte, NC over 20 years ago, but her love of antiques began decades prior.

Perhaps her own personal history, as a Cuban immigrant forced to leave everything behind, fueled her passion and appreciation for objects that have a little history attached to them. She had none of her own family treasures to pass down, so she adopted the discarded mementos of others.

Eventually, she realized she needed to channel the energy spent on this hobby into a business that enabled her to share a love of personal histories with others.

She travels to Europe regularly, always in search of special and unique items for her customers, specializing in English and French antiques as well as Victorian bamboo furniture and accessories.

Maria’s Antiques operates out of two fixed locations in Charlotte: Alexander Scott and Slate Interiors.

We are excited to have her exhibiting at Antique & DesignCenter of High Point for the first time this Spring in space 64d.
Please follow her on Instagram (www.instagram.com/marias_antiques) for photos, videos and updates.

All of these antiques, both large and small, are carefully hand-selected in France, for their quality, character and history and have never been previously seen in any other markets. Jerry and Donna Allen, owners, are the quintessential Francophiles. They share a love for all things French, but especially antiques. For years, the couple loved scouring the corners of France in search of beautiful pieces for their personal enjoyment. Surrounded by family, during a relaxed outdoor meal in Provence, they decided to turn their hobby into a passion, to provide others with the joy of owning beautiful pieces of French history from such an amazing place.

Louis and Lavender is excited to bring you another season of phenomenal French antiques.  You are cordially invited to see their special collection at the Antique and Design Center of High Point in booths 30a-b and 16b on the Ground level, October 12-18 . Enjoy the preview here!

Louis & Lavender ~ Exhibitor Spotlight

http://highpointantiquecenter.blogspot.com/2017/03/louis-and-lavender-exhibitor-spotlight.html

In the early years of marriage, Jerry and Donna Allen shared a love for each other and for beautiful antiques. Francophiles at heart as it turned out, it soon became apparent to them that high-quality French antiques were needed in the local North Carolina market.

Their love for France and its beautiful antiques fueled their commitment to find these treasures at their source...tucked away in all the corners of France. Their travels and finds led to an obsessive hobby. During an unhurried and relaxed outdoor meal in Provence, surrounded by family, it was decided that this hobby had become a project of passion and Louis & Lavender was born.

Louis & Lavender is excited to bring you the newest treasures in transit now from France. This Spring you can find them at the Antique and Design Center of High Point in 30a-b on Ground level, their new larger space.  At the show, you will see beautiful pieces carefully chosen for their character and history and not previously seen in any other markets. These heirlooms will be unveiled to give discerning design clients an exciting first look and the opportunity to secure special, one-of-a-kind pieces for clients that have never been shared publicly.

Although the frigid Mistral winds blew across France during their most recent shopping trip in February, you are cordially invited to come and enjoy the warmth of this new collection exclusively at the 2017 Spring High Point Market, April 20-26th.
