Lola & Bess - Antique & Design Center of High Point - Exhibitor Spotlight
The Antique & Design Center is thrilled to be joined by Lola & Bess this spring at High Point Market!  Founded by the fabulous mother-daughter team of Martha Halstead and Bess Lee, Lola & Bess offers a refreshing source for beautiful and unique design items.
Bess began her design career working in New York City for renowned interior designer, Charlotte Moss.  In 2009 she moved to London to expand her knowledge of fine and decorative art by attending the Sotheby's Institute, where she was awarded a master's degree in 2011.  From her time as an interior designer and through her experiences at Sotheby's, Bess developed not only a keen eye for interiors, but also a great passion and expert knowledge of art, antiques and period styles.
Shortly after receiving her master's degree, Bess landed a position as Vetting Coordinator for Masterpiece London, a prestigious international art and design fair.  This appointment further enhanced her skills and expertise through working with the world's preeminent art, antique and design dealers on a daily basis.  Bess brings a wealth of knowledge and invaluable hands-on experience to curate the exciting and distinctive collections at Lola & Bess.
Classically trained in music and art, Martha brings to Lola & Bess more than thirty years of experience working with designers, artists, antiquarians and craftsmen creating stylish interior spaces and collections.  Her love of all things beautiful, paired with an artful restraint, affords Martha the opportunity to exhibit a style and attention to detail essential in selecting timeless pieces to be considered for one's home.  Traditional to contemporary, her taste spans the periods and years of design as she incorporates treasures into the collection of Lola & Bess.
"We believe that the most important thing is to surround yourself with people, places and things that you love.  Design is a method of self-expression and it has been proven that great design and thoughtful interiors inspire people to live happier more efficient and fuller lives." -Lola & Bess
