Welcoming Ferro Designs this Fall!

This Fall, October 11-17, the Antique & Design Center of High Point will welcome several new dealers along with all of your returning favorites. We will be highlighting them here over the coming week and we begin today with new exhibitor Ferro Designs, specializing in iron lighting and furniture crafted from antique & architectural elements.

Ferro Designs opened in 2001, but you could say that it truly began years earlier when Mark Morrison was just a kid in Redondo Beach, California. Growing up with an artist for a mom, Mark wanted to follow in her footsteps and study art after high school.  Doubting he could support a family with an art degree, he put that dream on hold and became an engineer instead.

Fast forward twenty years and Mark got to use his creative side once again when he and his wife Robbie designed a new home for their growing family. As they priced out home furnishings he began to think, “I can do that!”,  and with the artist inside him awakened, he began making things.

Since that time, Ferro Designs has grown from a metal building beside the Morrison home, to a full shop in a 1940s-era industrial building, where robust iron lighting, furniture, and curtain rods are designed and crafted by hand, many incorporating salvaged antique architectural pieces from around the world, each with a story.

A new process or design is always in the works, keeping Mark’s offerings fresh and appealing, a perfect addition to the Antique & Design Center of High Point! Ferro Designs is open to the trade, by appointment in Tullahoma, Tennessee, between Nashville and Chattanooga. Visit www.ferrodesigns.com for details.

You can't miss them in space G-69 of the newest section of The Antique & Design Center, right up the steps from Salon.  In the meantime be sure to follow them on instagram as they prepare for a fabulous Fall Market in High Point. instagram.com/ferro.designs
