Road Trippin' to Brimfield!

In May, Antique & Design Center founder, Karen Luisana and I made our way up to Brimfield MA with Interior Designer friend Debbie Day.  Visiting antiques shows all over the world is one of the most fun parts of our job!  Days include getting up at the crack of dawn and standing in line to hit the fields as the sun rises over the church steeple in this tiny little town that turns into a one of the largest Antiques Flea Markets in the Country, three times per year.

Karen and Chandra are there now, so enjoy these highlights from May while they scour the fields this week for fresh, hot, merchandise and fabulous Antiques Dealers for High Point Market!

Keep up with this weeks finds on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter!

The crowd waiting to run into May's Field on Thursday morning, when the gates open & dealers start unloading their truckloads of treasures.

View from our little piece of paradise.  Nice way to end a long day of trekking through the fields.

Fun running into friends like Julia Buckingham Edelmann of Buckingham Interiors + Design

Multiple trips up and down these stair daily to our little lake cottage, plus over 10 miles of walking a day, makes Brimfield a fitness retreat as well as a work trip!

A Beautiful September Week in New England

Road Trippin' to New England to Spread the Word about Fall Market at The Antique & Design Center of High Point. Postcards in hand, thanks to Jason Oliver Nixon, John Loecke, Amy Petunia and Weenie of Madcap Cottage, along with Stacey Van Berkel Photography and Ed Young Graphic Design and Matt at MightyColor.
Up before the sun, ready to go treasure hunting in Brimfield MA

Pretty Colored Glass Bottles

Lions and Tigers and Bears, Oh My

Silver and White, lovely curations

Love the simple lines of this copper chandelier
Paris 1932, signed Ch Naillod
Perfect for my Koi Pond in my courtyard.  Note to self, build a Koi Pond.

.
Not where we stayed, but gotta love an AIRSTREAM, maybe a slightly newer one though, with a cool mod interior.

Saw lots of old wooden boats.

Cleaned up, these fishing floats will sparkle with sunlight shining through.

Darn, no sitting, but dreaming of the French Riviera.

These early 1800's chairs were amazing.  They look so fragile, yet the woman said they are built to be very strong.  They were delicate but strong, and not to mention beautiful.

Capitol Salvage had some wonderful architectural details.

Would love this in my kitchen.

Need some luggage? Club Harvel

Some things in Brimfield, are hard to explain, or understand for that matter, but it's always fun.

Then off to Westport CT to visit Betsy and Dan Kahn in their 1930's beach bungalow, newly renovated, after Hurricane Sandy.

Must stop at Lillian August! Wow

Love how they've used vintage fabric on modern upholstered pieces.

Swedish Clocks, always beautiful.

Also, had to stop at Terrain.  What a gorgeous shop, and love their vintage display pieces.

Thank you Betsy and Dan for this beautiful time with you.  What a wonderful way to end a week of tromping through fields of Antiques.

A spectacular week and so glad my sweet Mom could join me.
Goodnight all.
