The Antiques Diva Happy Hour Tour of The Antique & Design Center

The early bird gets the worm at the ADC with Toma Clark Haines, owner of Europe's largest antiques touring and buying service company, as she takes you on a tour of the major antique periods and styles to identify their key characteristics utilizing modern day metaphors and featuring inventory found at the Antique and Design Center in High Point.  No passport required.   Focusing on the antique trends in Europe- The Antiques Diva(R) is taking antiques out of the past and bringing them into the future of design. -Jeanne Chung is an interior designer based in Pasadena, California and the founder/editor of  www.CozyStylishChic.com design blog. She's known for her classic yet fresh and modern design aesthetic.
-Jennifer Mehditash is a bi-coastal interior designer based in Newport Beach, California & Larchmont, NY who's style blends traditional with contemporary.  She blogs at www.Dec-a-Porter.com and is an editor at California Home + Design Magazine
-Paloma Contreras of www.LaDolceVitablog.com is an interior decorator, & award winning blogger based in Houston, Texas, with a modern take on traditional style.
-Robin Baron, is the interior designer and lifestyle expert behind  www.SimplifyingFabulous.com Blog, and is the President-Elect of ASID NY Metro Chapter.

Melissa Mittag is the Managing Director for North America for Fromental, a global luxury brand specializing in scenic wall coverings and fabrics.  With over fifteen years of experience in luxury textiles, Melissa has had the opportunity to collaborate with some of the most successful and talented Designers of our day.  The Narrative of Wallpaper will offer a brief overview of the history of wallpaper and focus on the use of antique and reproduction papers in today's interiors.

"Habitat: The Field Guide to Decorating" discussion and book signing by Lauren Liess
Hosted by The Barn On Sweetwood, MS G 22 ADC

Lauren Liess, an interior designer and founder of the popular blog Pure Style Home, fuses her love of design and the great outdoors into all her work. In Habitat: The Field Guide to Decorating, her first book, Lauren invites readers to bring nature inside by mixing the textures of natural elements such as wood and stone with eclectic groupings of modern and quirky vintage pieces. Readers will be inspired by the unique style of these rooms, which include lovely framed botanical prints and Liess’s own textile patterns inspired by wildflowers and weeds. A book signing will follow Lauren's talk.

From antique furniture and vintage toys to retro electronics and classic luxury cars, she's always on the lookout for obscure treasures as she combs through basements, attics and garages.

Tour of The Antique & Design Center with World Traveling Design Duo, 31 Westgate

World travelers Colin Blanchard and Kenneth McRobbie of 31 Westgate take you on a tour of the Antique and Design Center. Colin and Kenneth travel through Europe, the Americas and Asia searching for the pieces that take an interior to the next level of design. This taste-making duo will share that same international shopping know-how they learned from Paris flea markets and Mexico street fairs that has made both of their design locations in Halifax, Canada must see's for design enthusiasts.
