Antique & Design Travels - Alhambra Antiques

As we gear up for Fall, it's a great time to reflect on our Antique & Design Travels over the warmer months.  This summer I traveled to Miami for an all too short weekend getaway.  If you love Miami, it's a great time to go because it's not crowded, you feel like your in Europe or South America, with languages other than English spoken everywhere, and the hotel rates are at an all time low.  I love Miami but we'll save that for another post.

While there, I made my way over to Coral Gables to visit with one of our Antique & Design Center exhibitors, Ignacio Granda of Alhambra Antiques.   Walking into this shop is like stepping into a treasure trove of beautiful objects.  It's filled with lovely antique lighting, accessories, garden pieces, furniture, fine art and religious art.  Following are a few pics from my visit.  You can see more over on our Instagram feed

As stated on Alhambra's website...  "We're not a big company (but we have big ideas).
When we began, our ideas centered around our passion for great style, distinction, and authenticity. Our search for objects that fit these criteria drove us all over the world. Through the years (twenty-two and counting) our offerings have broadened, and the pieces that “fit” have taken on different shapes and forms. But everything we offered then, and everything we offer now, is hand selected, piece by piece. And our dedication to that idea will never waiver.
Today we offer an ever-expanding, yet curated, collection of beautiful furniture, unusual objects and revolving exhibitions. Our hope is that you like what you see and that you appreciate each items' “story,” whether long or short. We also hope that you'll stop in and visit us, whether in person or online, for a bit of inspiration, if nothing more."
Alhambra Antiques imports a variety of Italian Murano Glass antique chandeliers. They  find antique lighting and antique chandeliers in a variety of styles from Murano and Venice, including manufacturers such as Seguso, Toso, Venini, Capellin and Barovier. Each of our antique chandeliers is carefully cleaned and rewired for U.S. standards.
