Exhibitor Spotlight - Vintage Persian Rugs by Jubin Tavakol

Vintage Persian Rugs is a founding exhibitor at the Antique & Design Center and has been showing with us since our very first show in the Fall of 2010.

As a direct importer, Vintage Persian Rugs is the source for the highest quality antique and new decorative rugs. Our knowledge, deep connections and attention to customers has created long-lasting relationships throughout the interior design and collector worlds. Today, fine rugs are appreciated for their fine quality of weave, beautiful colors and artistic pattern. We are proud to offer one of the best selections of mid-century stress dyed rugs in the Southeast.

Jubin Tavakol has been providing clients in the U.S. with the finest quality antique and decorative rugs for over 18 years.

Straight out of high school, Jubin moved to the U.S. and settled in San Francisco to pursue his education in accounting and his MBA in Finance. He built a successful career working for a major Wall Street firm in mortgage-backed securities. Meanwhile, he harbored a growing passion for the art form of antique hand woven rugs and textiles.

In 2001 he opened Vintage Persian Rugs, with the philosophy of offering an extensive collection of heirloom-quality carpets at reasonable prices, along with first-class customer service.

Over the years Jubin has developed a loyal clientele among top designers and homeowners alike, who consistently return for his expertise and advice. He is well known for the time he takes to educate his clients who often, as he puts it, “catch his contagious enthusiasm for rugs that give life to a room.”

Between Markets these dealers never stop...

We love to keep up with our exhibitors and friends between shows so we checked in this summer at Atlanta Market to visit with quite a few of them that set up and sell there too. Unlike during High Point Market, it was great to be able to take the time to stop and chat instead of running around like a chicken with my head cut off. :) -Amanda
Mayfair Antiques  I loved this Library art.  Libraries used to have art collections that they would check out so that people that couldn't afford a real art collection could temporarily hang something beautiful in their home. What a wonderful idea.  Art for everybody! Who knew?!?!

Sandy Luther Antiques & Architecturals with her signature gilty pleasures.

Market Imports - Exhibitor Spotlight

Dan Wilson, owner of Market Imports, just hasn’t had enough.  In over 35 years of buying, selling, manufacturing, trade/antiques shows, traveling, long flights, early mornings, late evenings, good and bad food, and all that comes with the territory, he still finds gratification in “the hunt” and in all of his varied finds.

Market Imports can be found at the Antique & Design Center of High Point on Ground level space 11,  April 20-26th, and his sharp and experienced eye for detail is also evident in his stand-alone, 15,000 square foot High Point showroom at 100 N Centennial Street (The big green building on the corner.)  Items are hand-selected and displayed in an interesting setting for easy shopping.  With a mix of old and new, many items are one-of-a-kind.

Exhibitor Spotlight: Box Road

Box Road is an antique & design project spurred by the encouragement of friends, the desire to create by its founders & maybe a margarita or two.
Michael Ouellette & Donnie Volkart formed Box Road in 2014.  The friends, after years of discussion finally took the plunge, combining their talents & resources to start the process of branding their unique look. They set out across the world to assemble Box Road’s goods & wares, and at present make them available at up coming shows like The Antique & Design Center at High Point Market.. Online & special projects are in the works and who knows what these guys will come up with.
They specialize in a mix of styles such as painted country furniture, ironstone, folk art, jewelry and other oddities and sell out of their warehouse in Central Missouri, Round Top Texas and at The Antique & Design Center of High Point shows.
They love the sense of history, memory and emotion the items they collect bring forth.
You can learn more at their website www.boxroad.net and connect with them on facebook!  https://www.facebook.com/donnieandmichaelroundtop/
